Dear supporters of Kindness [r]Evolution in Berkeley,
Join us in celebrating of the final CANCELLATION OF DUPLICATE AND HAZARDOUS LA LOMA PATH! (Click to send Rozalina Gutman "Congratulations!" note, and we will pass it on to her.) We are deeply grateful to everyone for the generous demonstration of support in all forms and shapes! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN THE TIMES OF GREAT CHALLENGE!
Recently (Spring 2007), the described on the Home page victim of hostility and media assasination Rozalina Gutman and other immediate neighbors of the absurdly duplicate & hazardous structure of public La Loma-path staircase, referenced below had celebrated the final arrival of the common sense-decision to cancel the efforts to build this unnecessary structure in the area, where the earlier City planners did not reserve the proper space for it, and where engineers did not recommend it. The neighbors are deeply grateful to everyone, who showed support to the victims of hostility and harassment, who signed the petitions, organized and spoke at the public meetings, and contributed in many other ways to RESTORING PEACE, FAIRNESS & COMMON SENSE on Campus Drive in Berkeley, CA, USA.
After long 9 months of highly disruptive and stressful retaliatory illogical hostility from irrational "public land" advocates (and cover-up front for their pals, corrupt City bureaucrats) & Code Enforcement Dept., the street sign had been finally taken down and the officially unapproved operation had finally stopped, including many unannounced deliberately stressful appearances, involving stairing into the windows by the lunatic-alike activists for so called "the good cause".
We are very grateful for the wise decision of Ms. Claudette Ford, the Director of Berkeley Public Works Dept. for assuring that her personnel abides by the Golden Rule, and NOT by some double standard, peppered with "public right-of-way", interpreted as "the right-for-abuse", that was pushed initially by some lacking ethics City personnel.
Notably, we had never heard back from our areas representative - City Council Betty Olds (nor from her dedicated Aid Ms. Susan Wengraf, lacking mental clarity, as if having gereatric issues), in response to our requests for a civilized dscussion and exchange at a merely civilized meeting PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES - likely due to her vast embarassment for supporting the illegal operation of her pals, behaving like perverts, bullies and vandals... We understand her geriatric issues, and thus, generously forgive her, despite much suffering her senseless errors had caused everyone to date, expecting her prompt retirement (if not much more suitable in her position RESIGNATION). It is hard to imagine, but it was news to her to find out that emergency evacuation may not take place under the high voltage wires, where FEMA-funded (with misappropriated uncommonly large funds!) Glendale Path Staircase was proudly laid out, thanks to her personal advocacy for it (read - much bullying and preasure on the residents).
We are astonished about having the Fire Dept. administration, capable of such outrageous mishandling of the issue, while knowing how much losses it also caused to our community members, for no good reasons. We trust that punitive measures are taken to prevent having rackless personnel, capable of further and similar lack of professional misconduct at the great public expense.
We also trust that the appropriate response with the strict administrative measure assures that no such retaliatory hostility, as well as the dysfunctional operation, along with enourmous waste of public and private resources may be allowed in the City of Berkeley in the future, including the replacement of the personnel, that committed deliberate misconduct and misappropriation of public funds on bogus "emergency evacuation" community cause. We trust for the prompt actions of denouncement & prosecution of the deliberate violators.
We are very grateful to all of you for showing up, writing, calling and speaking up, AND FOR ALL OTHER FORMS OF YOUR SUPPORT of unfairly subjected to bullying and hostility talented and committed to the social justice Rozalina Gutman, the passionate Russian-born-trained music educator, generously sharing her music expertise and inspiration with the locals, after she found her refuge in Berkeley, following her immigration from USSR. Ms. Rozalina Gutman is a great asset to both our local community and for the global community of educators-at-large, due to being an avid advocate for the emotional intelligence education through music and the arts, accessible for ALL. She is finally able to begin her recovery from all of the unprecedented stress from the unauthorized legally actions, taking place right next to her house, hoping to resume addressing the issues of her professional interest and to return to her exciting for all of us creative projects - STAY TUNED FOR THE UPDATES!
(At this point, we will retain this website in its original form simply for the historical references about our City of Berkeley, and for the purposes of warning the potential violators about keeping THE CLOSE WATCH on our City's public servants.)
